On a sunny day their solar electric system produces all the electricity these homeowners need, and they have extra electricity that is sent back to the utility grid, supplying their immediate neighbors with freshly-produced power as well. Sustainable actions extend beyond solar for these Tucsonans, as they also choose to drive hybrid vehicles to further reduce their environmental impact.
