The Miller family chose to install a photovoltaic (PV) system for both economic and environmental reasons. Mr. Miller appreciated that solar is not only a great investment, but it also benefits the environment by reducing the amount of carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, and nitrous oxide emitted into the atmosphere, in addition to decreasing water usage.

The Millers told us that they appreciate that their system is almost completely maintenance free. For this Tucson family, sustainability did not just begin with a solar electric system. They regularly take steps to further reduce their footprint by hanging laundry outside to dry, using solar sky lights in their home, implementing shade trees to reduce household cooling needs, and they also run a certified green business.
