Technicians for Sustainability (TFS) is looking for an individual with a demonstrated commitment to sustainability, a high-level of organization, and excellent communication skills to work as the Service & Monitoring Coordinator.

Job Description:
The role combines elements of department management, customer communications, scheduling and administrative processing. The right candidate will possess strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills; the ability to move quickly and accurately through tasks; adeptness at conflict resolution; and the capacity to lead and serve and to understand the interconnectedness between the two. In addition, some technical and solar energy industry understanding or the ability to learn that information quickly.

This is a unique position for someone who not only possesses strong time management skills, but also enjoys speaking with customers and tracking details in “paperwork” and scheduling.


Responsibilities include:

  • Support the Welcome Team in appropriately receiving, responding to and directing incoming service or monitoring inquiries

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers by responding to their service questions and concerns.

  • Ensure service and monitoring inquiries are responded to in a timely manner via email, phone, and text

  • Establish and maintain high-quality customer communication, including compassionate and productive communication with customers dealing with issues or frustrations, to deliver the customer experience we’re after

  • Review, edit, and distribute service and data monitoring contracts to residential and commercial customers, and track warranty details, as needed

  • Coordinate all residential and commercial service work efficiently and timely, to maximize positive customer experience and company resource usage

  • Responsible for the accurate and timely documentation, and internal & external follow up, to deliver the highest-integrity customer experience

  • Ensure follow up with customers post service visits to ensure customer satisfaction and gather real-time feedback for continuous improvement

  • Support the Service & Monitoring Team, including guidance to find the right resources/support when needed, and building strong, and highly functional relationships with team members

  • Continuously improve efficiency, organization, record keeping, statistic reporting, etc. of the Service and Monitoring Team

  • Maintain open communication with company leadership as needed to improve field techniques, department goals, customer satisfaction, minimize waiting periods, and maximize cost efficiency

  • Help with other administrative tasks as needed to support a thriving company and workplace


Requirements:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.

  • Experience with conflict management and resolution skills.

  • Highly organized, with ability to set priorities in a high-demand environment

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, Google suite, email and web-based platforms

  • Must be a problem solver, self-motivated and collaborative- usually simultaneously!

  • Interest and demonstrated capacity to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions, showing flexibility in coping with change (even better if done with a sense of humor!)

  • Willingness to be coachable and demonstrated interest in growing technical knowledge. 

  • Experience in appointment or staff scheduling or schedule management and solar a plus, but not required


Compensation based on experience, $20-23/hr base pay to start.
