TFS proudly partners with the leading suppliers and manufacturers in the industry to ensure only the best components go into your solar electric system. Our unbiased analysis of the various products in the marketplace allows us to provide custom recommendations based on what’s optimal for your unique installation.

Solar Panels

Solar PV modules produce electricity when bathed in sunlight; they have no moving parts and make no noise. TFS installs photovoltaic (solar) modules manufactured by SunPower and Schott. Both have excellent reputations for quality products, strong environmental records, and exemplary corporate governance histories. Both manufacturers also provide performance-based warranties, which assure that their modules maintain a power output of no less than 80% of their rated power for 25 years.

Headquartered in Sunnyvale, CA, Sunpower has the highest panel efficiency commercially available for residential applications. SunPower’s high-efficiency panels generate up to 50 percent more power per unit area than conventional solar panels, which makes them a great option when roof space is limited. These panels are uniquely attractive with an all-black appearance. Visit SunPower’s website.
Schott, a German company with a manufacturing plant in New Mexico, is among the top five solar PV manufacturers in the world.  Schott Solar has 50 years of experience in the solar industry. Schott modules meet TFS’s high standards for great efficiency, long-term reliability, and rated energy output. Visit Schott’s website.

Inverters

Inverters are the brains of your system; they operate silently and interface seamlessly with the utility grid.Primarily, they turn the DC electricity from your solar panels into AC electricity, which is compatible with your household appliances and the utility grid.

At TFS we install SMA, Enphase, Fronius, and PVPowered grid-tie inverters. All of these manufacturers produce high quality equipment backed by 10-year warranties. The choice of which inverter to use in any given system rests primarily with matching the solar electric (PV) system size to the most appropriately sized inverter.

SMA Sunny Boy grid-tied inverters are known for their reliability, modular expandability, high efficiency, and ease of operation. SMA’s compact size and economical price make it a nice option for various sizes of residential systems, and for adding a bit more power to an existing solar installation. Visit the SMA website.
Enphase Energy has introduced the solar industry’s first microinverter system. These inverters make it so that shading has less of an impact on system production. An Enphase microinverter attaches to each PV Module, which allows us to monitor each module independently. Visit the Enphase website.
Fronius inverters are manufactured in Austria.  These inverters that are very versatile, reliable and efficient. Fronius inverters work with all solar panels commonly available on the market, providing maximum compatibility and flexibility. Visit the Fronius website.
Founded in Bend, Oregon and privately owned, PV Powered manufactures both commercial and residential grid tie inverters. Known for their reliability, efficiency and ease of installation PV Powered inverters are a solid solution for solar applications. Visit the PV Powered website.
