This Tucson family boldly displays their commitment to environmental stewardship by placing a 1,300 gallon polyethylene tank on the streetside of their house. They chose to paint the tank to match their house and extend the lifetime of the tank. This family plans to use their collected rainwater to jump start their budding backyard vegetable garden and feed a new shade tree in their front yard. Additionally, TFS crew plumbed the tank overflow through the property wall and constructed rock berms and mulched basins to feed three new native street trees, integrating with a neighborhood beautification effort to bring more greenery to pedestrian paths.
