SERVICE DEPARTMENT COORDINATOR

Technicians for Sustainability (TFS) is looking for an individual with a demonstrated commitment to sustainability, a high-level of organization, and excellent communication skills to work as the Service Department Coordinator.

Job Description:
The Service Department Coordinator role combines elements of department management, customer communications, scheduling, administrative processing and general admin support. The right candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills; the ability to move quickly and accurately through tasks; the capacity to lead and serve and to understand the interconnectedness of each; and adeptness at conflict resolution. In addition, some technical and solar energy industry understanding or the ability to learn quickly. This is a unique position for someone who not only possesses strong time and management skills, but also enjoys speaking with customers and tracking details in “paperwork”.

Major job functions include:

  • Coordinate all residential and commercial service work, including scheduling with TFS staff and customers, documentation, and follow up

  • Support TFS Data Monitoring (DM) Team and support/lead larger TFS Service Team

  • Continuously improve efficiency, organization, record keeping, statistic reporting, etc. in Service and DM Teams

  • Support other TFS admin staff by processing new residential installation contracts and creating/sending operations manuals and tax docs, and other admin duties as needed

  • Establish and maintain high-quality customer communication

  • Manage customer service contracts

  • Other admin tasks as needed to support a thriving company and workplace

 

Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.

  • Experience with conflict management skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

  • Must be a problem solver, self-motivated and collaborative- usually simultaneously!

  • Willingness to be coachable

  • Capacity to work from home to start, until pandemic allows for return to office work

  • Knowledge of solar a plus

 

Compensation -$16-17/hr DoE. Benefits include flex time/scheduling, health insurance, paid time off, profit share, and Employee Sustainable Systems program.
