Built Up Roof (Elastomeric or Silicone)
We use 3 simple steps to create a secure, safe, and sealed attachment to your roof:
1. Structural Standoff Attachment: Standoff is Lagged through the roof deck into the rafter underneath with 5/16” x 3 ½” Spax Lags. Baseplate of standoff is sealed to roof deck with Boss 125 sealant.
2. Metal Collar Flashing: Galvanized all metal top flashing is sealed with Boss 125 sealant, nailed or screwed to the roof deck, and the joint between the metal flashing and standoff is caulked with Boss sealant. The metal flashings are custom made for us by Verde Industries
3. Elastomeric 3 Course Top Coat: Flashing is 3 coursed to the roof using APOC 264 Flash and Seal in either white or tan to match existing roof, and APOC 482F polyester fabric that we custom cut in our shop to fit the application. The top of the standoff is sealed with a EPDM backed metal washer that is installed between the standoff and the racking as it is bolted down.

Shingle Roof
Each standoff is attached through the roof deck into the rafter underneath with lag bolts. The flashing is inserted into the coarse of shingles into the above attachment to prevent water intrusion.

Tile Roof
For each standoff, a tile is removed, and the standoff is attached to the roof deck with a watertight flashing. A secondary flashing with the same shape and profile is added in place of the tile, to ensure that the integrity of the roof is maintained.

Metal Roof: Standing Seam
Structural Standoff Attachment: A clamp will be attached to the standing seam that is specially designed to fit the exact profile of your particular standing seam. Because there are no roof penetrations, there is no need to seal the standoff. In order to use this product it is critical that the standing seam was installed with sufficient screws to handle the wind loading on the modules.

Metal Roof: Corrugated
Structural Standoff Attachment: A clamp will be installed with the lag bolts going directly into the top of the curve of your corrugated roof. This prevents any standing water from leaking through your roof.
