The Prime Leaf has Gone Solar!
At 40 kW, The Prime Leaf’s solar energy system will annually offset 152,000lbs of CO2 and save 36,000 gallons of water that would otherwise be consumed in the generation of fossil fuel energy.
“We're excited to be Arizona's first solar powered dispensary,” says The Prime Leaf co-owner Michael Crawford. “Those of us that have the ability and resources to help reduce greenhouse gasses and save valuable water resources need to step up and do our part for the planet. We were inspired to use our cannabis industry platform to show other cannabis businesses what's possible. Also, it’s a no brainer given the tax benefits and credits.”
On the process of going solar, Michael says “it was a great experience. I’ve now installed 5 systems with TFS, each one seems to go better than the last. TFS always kept us informed as to what was going on and what we could expect. Every member of the organization is professional, prompt and communicative, from sales to installation. We had a little setback with the power kill going a few hours longer than expected, because of a city computer outage coupled with a TEP emergency. Otherwise, everything went as planned. We look forward to future projects!”
To other local business owners considering solar, Michael says “Do it now! The longer you wait the more money you will spend on utility bills. Also, it will help save our planet!”
