May 14th, 2008Solar Power 101 - U.S. Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords' staff, in partnership with Pima County Public Library, presents Solar Power 101: A Community Education Series on Solar Energy. The event will be held from 6-8 PM at the Joel D. Valdez Main Library (101 N Stone Ave.). The series will conclude this month with the topic "The Potential of the Solar Industry" and will include an overview of all of the Solar Power 101 sessions. Greywater/Rainwater Harvesting Advisory Council meeting - These meetings are open to the public and are held in the Community Services Center Sabino/Rillito room, 320 N. Commerce Park Loop, west of I-10 off Bonita between Congress and St. Mary's. The meeting runs from 5-7 PM. The purpose of the group is to assist the City of Tucson in setting up development standards for future requirements for residential greywater stub outs and commercial water harvesting systems.
